Early Onset Alzheimers and Validity of MRI?

My maternal side of the family are genetic carriers of early onset alzheimers. My mother was tested about 2 yrs ago and the doctors are pretty certain she has it now. Well she is in a big denial stage and wants an MRI and there is a LSW telling her she doesnt have the disease although dozens of tests say she does. What I want to know is if she is in the first stage of this disease if any signs of it will show up on this MRI? Professionals only please or people who have had the same experience….

    The only way to definitely diagnose Alzheimers Disease is via brain autopsy after death.
    There are “probable” means of diagnosis, mainly through behavior changes. While it is common to be forgetful, you will notice a pattern of excessive forgetfulness that affects the person’s daily activities.
    Denial often accompanies the early stages of the disease, you may see one become angered over episodes of forgetfulness, then appear perfectly normal with memory intact. I have yet to hear a patient state “I have Alzheimers Disease”.
